The Sydney Tower is one of the highest buildings in the Southern Hemisphere at a height of 1,065 teet above the harbour. The observation deck affords visitors an extraordinary 360-degree view of Sydney in full, including the Harbour Bridge and Opera House. From the beaches to the mountains, you’ll be amazed at what you can see from the highest point in town.

The tower can hold 960 persons, and contains two levels of restaurants, a coffee lounge, an observation deck, two telecommunication transmission levels and three plant levels. Three high-speed double-deck lifts take about 40 seconds to travel from top to bottom.

The 420 windows of the tower are cleaned by a window-cleaning machine, which recycles and filters 50 litres of water. This machine takes two days to clean all the 420 windows.

A 162,000 litre water tank, the tower’s primary damping system, one million dollars worth of fire protection equipment and countless sprinklers add to the safety standards which far exceed(超越) normal building requirements.

景点三  悉尼海滩(Manly Beach)

Manly Beach is one of the finest beaches in the Sydney area. It’s considered to be the jewel of the north shore beaches by many people, locals as well as tourists.

Manly is only 12 minutes by Jetcat to the heart of the city of Sydney, therefore there is no need for any other form of transport once you have arrived in this lovely picturesque seaside resort. A walk down Manly’s corso brings one to a wonderful ocean view. The beach is a sight one will not soon forget. The white sands, the surf, the huge Norfolk Pines lining the beach are part of what is so special about Manly. There are 18 coves, beaches or inlets to swim in. Surfing is a favorite form to pass time for locals. It is said that some of the best surfing in the area is found here.

Manly can be reached by many different forms of transport including the Manly Ferries from Circular Quay. Around the Manly beach area there are plenty of other attractions to keep you busy including Manly Ocean World, North Head and Manly Wharf.
