阅读下面短文,从短文后各题所给的四个选项(ABCD)中,选出可以填入空白处的最佳选项,并在答题卡上将该项涂黑。

Lightning flashed through the darkness over Sibson’s bedroom skylight(天窗). Sibson was shaken by a clap of thunder ___21___ he knew what was happening. The storm had moved directly ___22___ his two-story wooden house. Then he heard the smoke alarm beeping.
